Job summary

The Bishop of Winchester Academy is seeking reliable cleaners to join our team. The role is term-time only with two additional working weeks, 20 hours per week in the afternoons and evenings. We offer flexible zero-hour contracts to suit varying schedules and strong, supportive teamwork.

Typical duties include cleaning classrooms, corridors and offices, disinfecting washrooms, restocking supplies, and following health and safety guidelines to maintain our high standards.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum classrooms, corridors, and offices.
• Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and washroom facilities.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely.
• Wipe down desks, tables, doors, and high-touch surfaces.
• Clean windows, glass panels, and mirrors.
• Restock supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
• Maintain cleanliness in staff rooms and common areas.
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.

This is a Term Time Only plus two working weeks contract, working 20 hours per week in the afternoons/evenings. These roles play an important part in supporting holiday cover, deep cleaning programmes, and periods of staff absence, helping us maintain the high standards our academy expect. We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking cleaners to join our team to help maintain a high standard of cleanliness within classrooms, corridors, offices and toilets. This will require duties such as vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning of washroom areas, tables, chairs etc. A good understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment would be desirable.
