Job summary

St. Peter's CE Primary Academy located near Salisbury is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our team. The role runs 3pm–5pm, Monday to Friday, during term time (38 weeks per year) with an additional two weeks during school holidays for a deep clean.

The job involves cleaning classrooms, corridors and facilities, sanitizing bathrooms, and reporting any safety hazards. No prior cleaning experience is required, but a positive, proactive attitude is essential.

About this Role

Located to the west of Salisbury, the heart of a vibrant new community, St. Peter’s CE Primary Academy is set in extensive grounds overlooking the Wiltshire countryside. The building has state of the art facilities including a multi-use hall, extensive sports facilities inside and out, a multi-functional studio, food-technology room and a purpose-built nursery setting.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Cleaner to join our team. Working 3pm - 5pm Monday to Friday, term time only (38 weeks per year), plus an additional two weeks during the school holidays for a deep clean.

Responsibilities include

• Cleaning classrooms, hallways, and common areas
• Sanitizing bathrooms and replenishing supplies
• Emptying rubbish bins and disposing of waste
• Dusting and wiping down surfaces
• Mopping and vacuuming floors
• Cleaning windows and mirrors
• Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, confident and capable, with a positive approach to their work. Cleaning experience preferred but not required.
