Job summary

South West Norse is seeking a Cleaner to join the team at Jacobstow Community Academy in a part-time, term-time role. The position covers 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3:30pm-5:30pm, with DBS check required and a pro-rata salary based on 40 hours.

The successful candidate will perform routine cleaning and deliver high standards of customer service in a school environment, working independently and as part of a team, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial cleaning environment preferred.
• Ability to meet defined standards in a quality-driven environment.
• Good attention to detail with customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day routine cleaning and ad-hoc cleaning as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Maintain hygiene levels across communal areas and support site safety.
• Deliver high standards of customer service to clients and site users.

£26,438.07 pro-rata (based on a 40 hour working week), equivalent to £12.71/hour

South West Norse is a successful commercial service partnership between Norse Group and Devon County Council, delivering expertise across cleaning, catering and facilities management disciplines.

We currently have a great opportunity for a Cleaner to join our established team at Jacobstow Community Academy on a permanent, part-time, basis working during Term Time.

The Role

Working both independently and within a close team, you will be responsible for carrying out day to day routine and ad-hoc cleaning services as defined by the Cleaning Supervisor, ensuring that the necessary standards are met and operating in line with Client and Norse Policies and Procedures.

Whilst maintaining hygiene levels is an important part of site safety across all communal areas, this consumer facing role will require you to deliver high standard of customer service to the clients across the facility.

If you have previously worked within a commercial cleaning environment then this would be an advantage however, at Norse we can offer full training and support for enthusiastic individuals if you can demonstrate:
