Job summary

Amey Ltd is seeking an on-site Cleaner for HMYOI Swinfen Hall. You will work 30 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 06:00–12:00, with a £13.45 hourly rate. The role involves cleaning to contract standards, stock management, and safe operation of equipment in a prison setting.

The successful candidate will be reliable, punctual, and a flexible team member, with prior cleaning experience, ideally in a commercial environment. Prison security clearance will be required.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an on-site Cleaner in HMYOI Swinfen Hall

The standard hours of work are 30 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 6hours per day 06.00am - 12.00 (can be a little flexible)

The salary is £13.45 per hour.

At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons.

By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.

What you will do:

• Providing a cleaning service that delivers to our contractual requirements
• Controlling stock levels and ordering consumables
• Operating machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided
• Ensuring a high-quality service is provided to the building users at all times ensuring customer satisfaction
• Thisrole will also support both local and businesszero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in astrategicand lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
• Ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.

What you will bring:

• Comfortable working in a prison environment
• Previous cleaning experience, ideally in a Commercial Environment.
