Job summary

Reed is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join Wyre Primary School on a temporary, part-time basis. The role covers cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and facilities, with duties including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, bin disposal, and replenishing consumables.

The successful candidate will work 15:30–17:30, Monday to Friday, starting ASAP and continuing until mid-January. The ideal applicant will have good attention to detail, be reliable and punctual, and follow health and safety guidelines

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional at all times.
• Understanding of health and safety practices within a cleaning environment.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop and dust designated areas.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
• Report maintenance or health and safety issues to the appropriate person.
• Follow school cleaning schedules and procedures at all times.
