Job summary

Reed is seeking a reliable Cleaner for Wyre Primary School on a part-time, temporary basis. The role requires cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for pupils and staff. Start ASAP with 15:30–17:30 hours, Monday to Friday, until mid-January.

Ideal candidates will work independently, show attention to detail, and adhere to health and safety practices. DBS Update Service is desirable or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional at all times.
• Understanding of health and safety practices within a cleaning environment.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas.
• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting designated areas.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Replenishing consumables such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels.
• Ensuring all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns to the appropriate person.
• Following school cleaning schedules and procedures at all times.
