Job summary

Bitterne Park School is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team. The role covers cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and common areas to maintain a safe, healthy environment for students and staff.

We offer competitive pay, supportive culture and opportunities for training. The post is part-time, 52 weeks per year, with start as soon as possible and closing date 25 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Prior cleaning experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks thoroughly and systematically.
• Strong reliability and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to lift and move cleaning equipment.
• Good interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues.
• Willingness to adapt to varying cleaning needs.
• Understanding of basic health and safety practices in cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across school premises, including classrooms, corridors, toilets and common areas.

We are currently seeking dedicated and proactive individuals to join our Housekeeping Team. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the school premises. This includes but is not limited to, cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and common areas. Your role will ensure that our facilities are not only clean but also healthy for everyone who enters the school.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage cleaning schedules effectively. We value teamwork and communication to ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently, contributing to a positive learning environment.
