Job summary

Manor Primary School, Ivybridge is seeking a hard-working cleaner to help maintain the high standards of cleanliness the school expects. The ideal candidate should show initiative and self-motivation, and be capable of working calmly and efficiently as part of a busy school environment.

The role is term-time focused, with 41 weeks per year and a 5‑day week totaling 10.5 hours. Duties include emptying bins, mopping floors, wiping tables, vacuum cleaning and dusting, plus any other cleaning tasks

Qualifications

  • Hard-working cleaner with initiative and self-motivation.
  • Experience with cleaning tasks and able to follow instruction.
  • Flexible to work term-time schedule.

Job description

We require a hard-working cleaner with initiative and self-motivation to clean to the high standards the school expects. The role involves emptying bins, mopping floors, wiping tables, vacuum cleaning, dusting and any other cleaning duties required as directed by the Headteacher.

Our team of cleaning staff work 41 weeks per year. This includes non-pupil days and deep clean holiday work during the Easter and summer breaks, usually towards the end of the holidays. This post is 5 days per week, Monday to Friday 10.5 hours per week.
