Job summary

Kier Group in Oldham is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join the Library & Lifelong Learning Centre team. You will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for visitors and staff, with duties from early morning cleaning to basic upkeep.

The role requires reliability, adherence to health and safety guidelines, and the ability to work as part of a team to meet high cleanliness standards in a public building.

Responsibilities

• Empty waste and dispose of it according to guidelines.
• Follow COSHH and PPE guidelines and health & safety procedures.

We're looking for a Cleaner to join our Oldham Library & Lifelong Learning Centre team based in Oldham.

Location: Oldham - Library, Cultural Quarter, Greaves Street, Oldham, Greater Manchester, OL1 1AL
Hours: 06:30 – 08:30

Join our welcoming team as a Cleaner at Oldham Library & Lifelong Learning Centre. You'll play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for all visitors and staff. What will you be responsible for?

As a Cleaner, you'll be working within the Cleaning team, supporting them in providing excellent cleaning services on behalf of Kier. Your day to day will include:

• Cleaning and maintaining all floor surfaces including vacuuming carpeted areas and wet mopping hard floors
• Ensuring washroom facilities are clean and well-stocked with consumables such as hand wash, toilet rolls, and hand towels
• Dusting and wiping down furniture, surfaces, doors, mirrors, and electrical items throughout the building
• Emptying waste receptacles and disposing of waste correctly in line with guidelines
• Following health and safety procedures including COSHH guidelines, using colour-coded equipment, and wearing appropriate PPE
