Job summary

Kier Group plc is hiring a Cleaner to join the Oldham Library & Lifelong Learning Centre team in Oldham. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for visitors and staff.

Your day-to-day includes cleaning floors, washrooms, dusting surfaces, removing waste, and following COSHH guidelines while using PPE. You will be part of a supportive team striving for high standards and excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining all floor surfaces including vacuuming carpeted areas and wet mopping hard floors.
• Ensuring washroom facilities are clean and well-stocked with consumables such as hand wash, toilet rolls, and hand towels.
• Dusting and wiping down furniture, surfaces, doors, mirrors, and electrical items throughout the building.
• Emptying waste receptacles and disposing of waste correctly in line with guidelines.
• Following health and safety procedures including COSHH guidelines, using colour-coded equipment, and wearing appropriate PPE.
