Job summary

Kier Group in Oldham is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join the Library & Lifelong Learning Centre team. You will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for visitors and staff, with duties from early morning cleaning to basic upkeep.

The role requires reliability, adherence to health and safety guidelines, and the ability to work as part of a team to meet high cleanliness standards in a public building.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or willingness to learn required.
• Ability to work to a schedule and maintain high standards.
• Understanding of health & safety procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all floor surfaces, including vacuuming and mopping.
• Keep washrooms stocked with consumables and clean.
• Dust and wipe furniture, surfaces, doors, and equipment.
• Empty waste and dispose of it according to guidelines.
• Follow COSHH and PPE guidelines and health & safety procedures.
