Job summary

Dalkia UK is recruiting a part-time evening cleaner to join the facilities maintenance team at the EDF office in Gloucester Business Park. The role covers cleaning all site areas, floors, sanitary and kitchenette spaces, and maintaining a hygienic environment for staff.

Shifts total 16.5 hours per week with hours Mon–Fri; training will be provided. You may be asked to assist with other duties as required and to uphold COSHH and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cleaner is preferred but training will be provided.
• BICS training would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties including vacuuming, dusting, toilets, floors and deep cleaning as required.
• Follow the cleaning schedule and complete tasks safely and promptly.
• Keep facilities clean and hygienic; report issues to the Cleaning Supervisor.

Dalkia have an opportunity for a part-time evening cleaner to join their facilities maintenance team at our EDF office in Gloucester Business Park.

Hours

16.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Shift times

Mon – Wed 5pm – 8.30pm, Thu 5pm – 8pm, Fri 4pm – 7pm

Main Purpose of the Job

You will be responsible for cleaning all site areas to include all hard / carpeted floors, sanitary and kitchenette areas, walls, doors, fixtures and fittings where appropriate. You will be a part of our professional facilities management team based within the EDF office in Gloucester Business Park, ensuring that the building provides a clean and hygienic environment for EDF to employees to carry out their work effectively.

Main Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties as required. Including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of toilets, floors and periodic deep cleans
• Adhere to the cleaning schedule and ensure cleaning tasks are carried out in a safe and timely manner
• Ensure that internal facilities are maintained to a clean and hygienic condition
• Ensure equipment is clean and ready use
• Ensure the effective use of equipment and materials reporting any issues to the Cleaning Supervisor
• Check all facilities are stocked sufficiently as required
• Advise of low stock levels reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor to ensure the correct quantities are available
• Identify faults within the site and report them to the Facilities Team
• Help manage and control of any cleaning chemicals according to COSHH regulations
• Adhere to all Company health and safety requirements and expectations
• Be prepared to undertake additional training to aid flexibility
• Identify areas where improvements need to be made, and ensuring these are carried out supporting the Cleaning Supervisor in achieving the desired site standards
• Make suggestions to improve the services of the team
• Wear the appropriate uniforms and safety equipment where required
• Please note that this is not an exhaustive list and you may be required to assist the Business with other duties as appropriate

Experience

• You will ideally have some previous experience as a Cleaner, although training will be provided.
• BICS training would be an advantage
