Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our team at a school in Almondbury, Huddersfield. The role involves cleaning designated areas to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Under the supervision of the Cleaning Supervisor, you will clean classrooms, corridors and facilities in line with the cleaning specification, follow COSHH and health and safety procedures, and report hazards promptly.

Qualifications

• Reliable and hardworking cleaner
• Experience in cleaning schools or similar environments is a plus
• Ability to follow cleaning specifications and COSHH guidance

Responsibilities

• Undertake the general cleaning of designated areas in accordance with the cleaning specification and under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, communal spaces and toilets as required.
• Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are handled, stored and used correctly in accordance with COSHH guidance.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures and school safeguarding requirements.
• Report any hazards, damage or maintenance concerns to the Cleaning Supervisor.

Cleaner

Location: Almondbury, Huddersfield, HD5
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 10 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 7am–9am

Dalkia UK is looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team at a school in Almondbury, Huddersfield.

Working under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for cleaning designated areas throughout the school, helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

This role would suit someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, works reliably as part of a team and is comfortable working within a school environment.

Job Purpose

• Undertake the general cleaning of designated areas in accordance with the cleaning specification and under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, communal spaces, staff facilities and toilets, as required.
• Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are handled, stored and used correctly in accordance with COSHH guidance.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures and school safeguarding requirements.
• Report any hazards, damage or maintenance concerns to the Cleaning Supervisor.
