Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking a reliable Cleaner for a school site in Honley, Huddersfield. The role involves cleaning classrooms, corridors and facilities, following a cleaning specification and reporting hazards as needed. The position is part-time with early and late shifts, supporting a busy school environment.

Hours are 20 per week (Mon–Fri), with shifts 6:00–8:00 and 15:00–18:00. The role prioritises health, safety, teamwork and pride in high cleaning standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning large premises or school environments.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general cleaning of designated areas in accordance with the cleaning specification and under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Clean areas such as classrooms, corridors, offices, communal spaces and toilets as required.
• Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are stored and used correctly per COSHH guidance.
• Follow all site health and safety and safeguarding procedures within a school environment.
• Report hazards, damage or maintenance concerns to the Cleaning Supervisor.

Cleaner

Location: Honley, Huddersfield, HD9

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday

Morning shift: 6:00am–8:00am

Afternoon shift: 3:00pm–6:00pm

(Maximum of 25 hours per person, per week)

Dalkia UK is looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team at a school site in Honley, Huddersfield.

Working under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for the general cleaning of the premises, helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

This role would suit someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, can work reliably as part of a team and is comfortable working within a busy school environment.

Job Purpose
