Job summary

Newdigate Primary School in Bedworth invites applications for a reliable Midday Supervisor/Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff. You will carry out cleaning duties across classrooms, offices and communal areas, mop floors, empty bins and replenish supplies, all while following health and safety procedures.

The role is term-time only plus two weeks across the school holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience of cleaning in a professional environment is desirable but not essential.
• Able to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties throughout the school in accordance with schedules and standards.
• Clean classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and polish floors as required.

• Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.

Newdigate Primary School is seeking to appoint a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Cleaner to join our dedicated team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene and who will help provide a safe, welcoming and pleasant environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive school community and play a key role in ensuring our school remains a clean and healthy place to learn and work. Please note the role is term time only plus two weeks across the school holidays. The dates of these days will be at the discretion of the school site manager.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Carry out cleaning duties throughout the school in accordance with agreed schedules and standards.
• Clean classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and polish floors as required.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies where necessary.
