Job summary

Alvaston Junior Academy is seeking an outstanding classroom practitioner with proven impact on pupil outcomes, especially for vulnerable groups. Candidates should demonstrate a secure grasp of the National Curriculum and effective use of assessments to raise standards.

The role involves working closely with teaching assistants, contributing to the Trust's vision, and supporting SEND learners. The successful candidate will aid the Principal in delivering strategic priorities across the Trust.

Qualifications

• Be an excellent classroom practitioner with evidence of improving outcomes particularly for those pupils who are most vulnerable.
• Have experience and a secure knowledge of the National Curriculum and Pedagogy.
• Have evidence of the effective use of assessment and analysis in raising standards.

Responsibilities

• Be able to work effectively with teaching assistants and other colleagues to maximise pupil outcomes.
• Have a commitment to work with others to carry the Trust’s vision forward.
• Have a commitment to supporting & developing the learning of SEND learners.
