Job summary

Vision for Education are partnering with a welcoming secondary school in Bacup, Lancashire, to appoint a Classroom Cover Supervisor for a full-time role starting September 2026. The role involves supervising KS3/KS4 classes during short-term absences, delivering pre-planned lessons, and maintaining high behaviour and engagement.

No teaching qualification is required, but experience with children and an Enhanced DBS with Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) is valued; full training

Qualifications

• A passion for working with children and young people.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Experience working with young people in any capacity (coaching, youth work, tutoring, mentoring, or support work).
• A degree is desirable but not essential.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across KS3/KS4 during short-term absences.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and manage classroom behaviour.
• Keep students engaged and on-task throughout learning.
• Work full-time starting September 2026 and contribute to a positive learning environment.
