Job summary

Keyham Lodge School in Leicester is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support learning in class and run interventions alongside the class teacher. You will help create a positive, structured environment and assist with pupils' all-round development during term time.

The role is permanent, with a 32.5-hour week across 39 weeks per year, and a starting salary on Grade 7, pay point 11–14 (£20,164). We value professional growth and safeguarding in a caring school community.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or STL Level 3 NOS.
• Level 2 maths/numeracy and Level 2 English/literacy or equivalent.
• Experience of working with students in a formal setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a class in the absence of a teacher and ensure learners are engaged.
• Liaise with teachers regarding work set for the class.
• Provide feedback on pupil engagement and any issues arising during the lesson.
• Help create and maintain a safe, secure learning environment aligned with lesson plans.
• Support an activity bank to keep pupils constructively engaged if work finishes early.
