Job summary

Mana Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors for Leicester and surrounding areas. You will supervise pupils in the absence of a teacher, ensuring tasks are followed and pupils stay focused. No QTS required, just experience with young people and clear communication.

Roles include day-to-day supply, short-term, long-term and permanent positions. We offer support, flexibility and weekly payments through PAYE or umbrella arrangements.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience working with young people.
• Clear communication and the confidence to manage a classroom.
• A degree or education qualification can be useful but isn’t essential for every vacancy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during a teacher’s absence and help pupils stay focused.
• Explain set tasks and check pupils understand instructions.
• Maintain a calm, productive classroom and manage behaviour.
• Encourage participation and help pupils stay on task.
• Take registers and follow school procedures.
• Collect completed work and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Report safeguarding or welfare concerns promptly.
