The Polesworth School is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our caring, high‑performing team. The role involves supervising classes during short‑term absences, following set work programmes, and supporting pupils in line with school policies.

The post is Grade F, points 6–11 (£19,810–£21,451 per annum, actual salary, pay award pending), 32.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks), Monday to Friday 8.15 am to 3.15 pm. Closing date 2 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise whole classes and support pupils
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Fluent spoken English is essential

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during short-term absence of the class teacher
• Implement work programmes and support pupil learning
• Assist with managing pupil behaviour in line with school policies
