Job summary

University of Kansas is seeking a Classroom Audio/Visual Support Technician to provide campus-wide AV support, troubleshoot issues, and assist with installations and inventory. The role reports to the Classroom Technologies Coordinator and works on-site.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 2+ years in AV support, with strong customer service and written communication. Training and certification updates are encouraged, and you will collaborate with IT teams on ongoing classroom

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Two years or more experience in AV technology support.
Experience supporting computer hardware and software in an academic or corporate environment.
Experience providing customer service in an academic or corporate environment.
Effective written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide trouble calls/tickets for in-session classes, events and departmental spaces.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Repair or replace installed AV equipment and assist with classroom technology inspections.
Develop knowledge of KU Lawrence campus hardware and software.
Meet customer requirements through first contact resolution with excellent service.
Assist with classroom technology installation projects and inventory.
