Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Classroom Assistant for Great Yarmouth Primary Academy and Nursery. This fixed-term role runs until 31 August 2027, with a pro-rata salary of £19,048 to £19,347 per annum (Actual) for 32.5 hours per week.

You will work one-to-one with a student with special education needs and support delivery of a modified curriculum for SEN pupils, including support for English as an Additional Language under the guidance of teaching staff.

Qualifications

• Supporting pupils’ learning and development.
• One-to-one support for a student with SEN.
• Assisting with a modified curriculum for pupils with SEND or EAL.

This role will be based at Great Yarmouth Primary Academy and Nursery, Dickens Avenue, Great Yarmouth, NR30 3DT.

Great Yarmouth Primary Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Classroom Assistant to join our team, supporting pupils’ learning and development. The role involves working one-to-one with a specific student with special education needs in addition to small group situations. You will support SEN pupils who are struggling to access mainstream curriculum and supporting the teacher in delivering a modified support curriculum for them.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Working under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff.
• Undertaking care and learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups of pupils, including more specialised support for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or EAL (English as an Additional Language).
• Performing assessments and implementing speech and language interventions.
• Enabling access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
