Job summary

Inspiration Trust and Great Yarmouth Primary Academy are seeking an enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to support a pupil with SEN, alongside the teaching team. The role involves one-to-one support and small group interventions to help pupils access the curriculum, with a focus on accelerating progress.

You will work under supervision, contribute to a motivated team, and use a range of strategies including RWI SSP. The post is 32.5 hours per week, term-time, fixed term until 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Experience of working with children and SEN.
• Ability to work in a team and using initiative.
• Experience with EAL and behaviour support.
• Experience of RWI phonics or SSP is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work under guidance of teaching staff.
• Support learning through one-to-one and small group sessions.
• Deliver targeted speech and language interventions.
• Assist in classroom management and enabling access to learning.
