Job summary

Barnton Community Nursery and Primary School is seeking an experienced SENCO to lead SEND provision and drive inclusive practice across the school. The role requires strategic development, effective assessment, and collaboration with families and external professionals to remove barriers to learning.

You will work with colleagues to raise standards, support pupils with SEND, and develop a culture of reflective practice and safeguarding across the school community.

• Be an excellent classroom practitioner with highexpectations of all pupils.
• Have a strong understanding of inclusiveteaching and SEND provision.
• Have an appropriate SENCO qualification.
• Be committed to removing barriers to learningand ensuring pupils with SEND make strong progress.
