Salary: M1 – M6 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term Supply

About the Role

Connex Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive school in the Braintree area to recruit a passionate KS1 Class Teacher for a long-term supply position starting in September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join a nurturing school environment focused on early learning, development, and inclusion. The role is open to both experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are ready to build a strong foundation in a supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the KS1 national curriculum
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and colleagues to personalise learning
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, keeping clear and accurate records
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support pupil outcomes

Assignment Details

• Full-time, Monday to Friday (Term time only)
• Long-term supply role for the full academic year, with potential for permanent placement

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and teaching practices
• Warm, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to teaching
• Commitment to inclusion and child-centred learning
• A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex
