Job summary

IntSol Recruitment in Shaftesbury is seeking an experienced Class 2 Refuse Driver to join a busy waste and recycling team. You will operate a Category C vehicle, completing routes for household and commercial collections and assisting with loading when required.

Pay is £14.59 per hour; this is a Full-Time | Temporary role. Applicants should have a Category C license, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, and maintain good health & safety practices. Local Dorset knowledge is a bonus.

About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Class 2 Refuse Driver to join a busy waste and recycling team in Shaftesbury.

You will drive a Category C (Class 2) refuse collection vehicle, completing designated routes for household, commercial and recycling collections. You will work as part of a crew and assist with loading and manual handling when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle checks

• Report missed collections, access issues and vehicle faults
• Follow health & safety procedures
• Work effectively as part of the collection crew

Driver Requirements

• Full Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of health & safety
• Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions
• Previous waste management or similar driving experience desirable
• Local knowledge of Dorset desirable
• Manual handling training desirable
