Job summary

IntSol Recruitment is seeking an experienced Class 2 Refuse Driver to join a busy waste and recycling team in Shaftesbury. You will operate a Category C (Class 2) refuse collection vehicle on designated routes for household, commercial and recycling collections, working as part of a crew and assisting with loading when required.

The role requires a valid Category C licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, with a strong emphasis on health & safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Full Category C driving licence required.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Good understanding of health & safety and ability to follow instructions.
• Experience in waste management or similar driving desirable.
• Local Dorset knowledge desirable.
• Manual handling training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 refuse collection vehicles.
• Complete household, commercial and recycling collection routes.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks.
• Assist with loading bins and containers when required.
• Report missed collections, access issues and vehicle faults.
• Follow health & safety procedures.
• Work effectively as part of the collection crew.
