Job summary

Gi Group are seeking HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers to join our team in Huntingdon. The role offers 37 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £19.61 per hour PAYE and overtime after 37.5 hours at x1.5. Newly qualified drivers are welcome, and immediate starts with weekly pay are available.

We require a valid UK LGV Class 2 license, CPC and DIGI Card, and a dependable work ethic. A maximum of 6 points is requested. Benefits include discounts through our benefits hub and flexible hours.

• Valid UK LGV CAT C / Class 2 driving licence.
• Valid CPC and DIGI Card.
• A reliable and punctual work ethic.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Maintain accurate, real‑time records via the in‑cab system.
• Collect domestic and commercial waste and recycling, including litter bins, bulky items and special collections.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, DVSA rules, PPE use and council policies.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, defect reporting and ensure vehicles are not overloaded.
• Maintain accurate, real‑time records via the in-cab system (collections, missed bins, issues).
• Collect domestic/commercial waste and recycling, including litter bins, bulky items and special collections.

Requirements:

• Valid UK LGV CAT C / Class 2 driving licence
• Valid CPC and DIGI Card
• A reliable and punctual work ethic.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; literate and numerate.
• A maximum of 6 points on your licence
