Job summary

GI Group is seeking HGV drivers for ongoing work in Chelmsford (CM2). Responsibilities include pre-checks, 10 deliveries/collections daily, scanning and loading, and prioritising loads to meet time commitments.

The role operates Monday to Friday starting at 09:30 with pay of £18.33 per hour, rising to £24.54 per hour after 40 hours, paid via PAYE including holiday pay.

Qualifications

• 12 months+ Class 1 OR Class 2 Licence.
• Valid Tachograph and CPC qualifications.
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes.

Responsibilities

• Conducting Vehicle pre-checks.
• Making 10 deliveries / collections to clients and depots.
• Scanning and loading of own vehicle.
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met.

GI Group are currently recruiting Class 1 and Class 2 drivers for our Internationally known client in Chelmsford (CM2). This company provides courier services worldwide, focusing on the express road-based market and offering services such as delivery, freight forwarding, and logistics. They operate in numerous countries and are known for their technology, customer service, and commitment to sustainability.

We are looking for HGV Drivers to work on an ongoing basis:

• Monday to Friday
• 09:30am
• £18.33 per hour*
• £24.54 per hour after 40 hrs

* Please note that the pay rate is PAYE and include advanced holiday pay

Duties will include:

• Conducting Vehicle pre-checks
• Making 10 deliveries / collections to clients and depots
• Scanning and loading of own vehicle
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

Driver requirements:

• A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude.
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
• 12 months + Class 1 OR Class 2 Licence
• Valid and in date Tachograph and CPC qualifications
