Job summary

Berry Recruitment are seeking a Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our team at the Hedge End depot. This ongoing role is Monday to Friday, 6am to 1:30pm, with an hourly rate of £14.30, increasing to £15.44 after 12 weeks.

This may lead to permanent placement for the right candidate. Must have Digi Tachograph and CPC licences and be available to start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Must have Digi Tachograph and CPC licences to operate.
• Customer-facing role requires good service.
• Willingness to start ASAP and commit to ongoing role.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 refuse vehicle in Eastleigh and surrounding areas.
• Assist with loading when needed.
• Collect household waste and recycling; handle special collections.
• Provide excellent customer service and adhere to safety policies.

Job description

Berry Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Refuse Drivers to start ASAP for a local authority based at the Hedge End depot.

This is an ongoing role, working Monday to Friday 6am - 1.30pm and an hourly pay rate of £14.30 (this will increase to £15.44 after 12 weeks)

This may lead to permanent for the right candidate.

You will need to be available to start ASAP and must have the correct licenses including Digi Tachograph and CPC.

Main Duties:

• Driving the vehicle around Eastleigh and surrounding areas with a team of refuse loaders
• Sometimes assisting with loading
• Collect household waste, recycling and special collections
• Customer facing so good customer service is needed
• Adhere to health and safety at all times
• Previous rear steer experience is desired!
• Previous experience of the waste industry and of waste collection is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
