Job summary

Wild Recruitment in Havant is seeking an experienced Class 2 Refuse Driver to support local waste collections on a Monday–Friday schedule, 37 hours per week, with no weekend work.

You will drive Class 2 refuse trucks, work in a small crew, perform vehicle checks, and follow health and safety procedures. The role offers £17.50 per hour with umbrella or PAYE options.

Qualifications

• Category C licence, CPC and Digi Tacho are required.
• Minimum 6 months’ Class 2 HGV experience.
• Ability to lift and assist with loading when required.
• Must pass a driving assessment before starting.
• Team player with good initiative.

Wild Recruitment are looking for experienced HGV Refuse Drivers to support household and commercial waste collections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Class 2 refuse trucks across local routes
• Work as part of a 2 or 3‑person crew
• Collecting household food waste and recycling
• Carry out daily vehicle checks & report defects
• Follow all health & safety procedures
• Some heavy lifting when assisting loaders

What you’ll need:

• Category C licence, CPC & Digi Tacho
• Minimum 6 months’ Class 2 HGV experience
• Able to lift and support loading when required
• Team player with good initiative
• Must pass a driving assessment before starting
• Rear‑steer experience is helpful but not essential
