Job summary

Berry Recruitment are recruiting a Class 2 Refuse Driver for the Matlock area. The role involves daily refuse and recycling collections, using in-cab tech, and real-time paperwork. You will inspect and maintain machinery, and uphold excellent public relations.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30am–3:00pm, with a starting hourly rate of £19.73. ASAP start, long-term ongoing opportunity, with benefits and overtime options.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Driver CPC.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Willingness to undertake tasks.
• Clean licence desirable for all staff.

Responsibilities

• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with knowledge of machinery aspects.
• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed.
• Complete relevant paperwork in real time.
• Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use.
• Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
• Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with the public and other road users.
• Assist refuse loaders during rounds to help complete the route within SLA.

Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for Class 2 Refuse Drivers in and around Matlock.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job
• Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate toarticles left for removal
• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed
• Complete relevant paperwork in real time
• Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use
• Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
• Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users
• Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement

What you'll need to succeed

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points)
