Job summary

The Best Connection Hastings is seeking experienced Class 2 (Cat C) drivers for ongoing work in Hastings and surrounding areas. You will join a reliable team on Monday to Friday shifts with early starts.

Responsibilities include safe operation of Class 2 refuse vehicles, assisting with loading, performing vehicle checks, and ensuring safety standards. Temp-to-perm opportunities available with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Previous refuse driving experience is essential.
• Rear-steer vehicle experience is beneficial.
• Good knowledge of the Hastings area is advantageous.

Location: Hastings & Surrounding Areas

Are you an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver looking for reliable, ongoing work?

We are currently recruiting Class 2 Refuse Drivers to work with our client in the Hastings area. This role offers Monday to Friday work, consistent hours, and the opportunity for a temp-to-perm position.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Safely operating a Class 2 refuse vehicle, including rear-steer manoeuvring
• Supporting crews on residential and commercial waste collection routes
• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained at all times
• Assisting with loading duties when required
• Working as part of a team to complete daily collection routes

Duties may vary depending on operational requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous refuse driving experience is essential
• Experience operating rear-steer vehicles is beneficial
• Good knowledge of the local area is beneficial
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
• Physically fit and comfortable assisting with loading duties
