Job summary

Simply Jobsworth is hiring for a Class 2 Refuse Driver in Worcester, offering a 4‑day working week and Tuesday to Friday shifts. You’ll join a busy waste and recycling operation, driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle and supporting scheduled routes as part of a small crew.

Newly qualified drivers are welcome, with a temp‑to‑perm path and overtime opportunities. Benefits include health and wellbeing support, a workplace pension and free on‑site parking.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 / Category C licence is required.
• Valid Driver CPC is required.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card is required.
• Reliable timekeeping and safe driving are essential.
• Team player with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
• Complete daily vehicle checks.
• Follow planned collection routes.
• Work with loaders and crew members.
• Report vehicle defects or issues.
• Complete basic paperwork.
• Follow road safety and health & safety procedures.
• Provide professional service to the public.

Looking for a Class 2 driving job with a 4-day working week, regular hours and the opportunity to secure a permanent position?

We are recruiting experienced and new pass Class 2 Refuse Drivers to join a busy waste and recycling operation.

Newly qualified Class 2 drivers are welcome to apply.

The Role

You will be working as part of a small crew completing scheduled refuse and recycling collections.

Your duties will include:

• Driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle
• Completing daily vehicle checks
• Following planned collection routes
• Working alongside loaders and other crew members
• Reporting any vehicle defects or issues
• Completing basic paperwork
• Following road safety and health & safety procedures
• Providing a professional service when dealing with members of the public

What We're Looking For

You will need:

• Valid Class 2 / Category C licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good reliability and timekeeping
• A safe and responsible approach to driving
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Comfortable working outdoors and in a physically active environment

Previous refuse or waste experience is an advantage, but it is not essential.
