Driver Hire Darlington is currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to work on a long-term ongoing assignment operating a cement mixer vehicle for a leading construction materials supplier in the Darlington area.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Cement mixer experience preferred, training may be available for suitable Class 2 drivers.
• Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations.
• Professional and safety-conscious attitude.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• No more than 6 penalty points for minor motoring offences.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 cement mixer vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Deliver concrete to construction sites, building projects, and domestic customers.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Safely operate mixer controls and discharge equipment.
• Ensure loads are delivered within specified timescales.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards on site.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and transport regulations.
