Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment is seeking a Class 2 Driver in Leeds to operate cement mixer vehicles for a client manufacturing and distributing cement, ready‑mix concrete and aggregates. Immediate starts and weekly pay are available.

Candidates should have 12 months of commercial Class 2 driving experience, a valid UK DCPC and Digi‑tacho, and be able to travel to and from the site. Varying start times and occasional Saturday overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK Class 2 driving licence.
• Must have DCPC and a Digi‑tacho card.
• Minimum 12 months of commercial driving experience on cement mixers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 cement mixer vehicle.
• Perform mixer work (training provided if required).
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and maintain trailer and cab cleanliness.
• Ensure all loads are placed and secured correctly.
• Complete daily paperwork accurately.
• Follow site safety procedures.

Job Title: Class 2 Driver

Location: Leeds

Pay Rate: £15.97 to £17.89 p/h

Holiday Pay: £1.92 per hour if paid on top (£17.89 total if requested)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (06:00 start times)

Overtime: Very Occasional Saturdays

Experience: 12 months Class 2 essential – MPQC qual beneficial – must have experience on a Mixer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work to a high standard following site safety procedures

About you

• You will have a Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• You must also possess a UK DCPC card and a valid Digi‑tacho card.
• Your licence may contain up to 6 points; however, DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements are not accepted.
• You are up to date with WTD regulations.

Previous experience working on a mixer is required.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with visa applications and cannot assist with relocation.
