Job summary

Driver Hire Gloucester is seeking a HGV Class 2 Mixer Driver for local deliveries. You’ll liaise with the Distribution team daily, using local knowledge to ensure orders are delivered safely and efficiently, and you’ll represent the company on the road.

You’ll work Monday to Friday, 7.00 to 16.30, with occasional Saturday mornings on a rota. The role pays £17.00 per hour, including holiday pay, with overtime as required.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2/Class C licence required.
• Good communication skills.
• Mixer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Distribution daily to deliver orders safely and efficiently.
• Be the face of the business, using local knowledge for timely deliveries.
• Work Monday to Friday with potential Saturday mornings on a rota.

Key Responsibilities

Working for the largest independent construction materials business in the UK and Ireland, within our Transport and Logistics division you'll never be treated like just a number. You'll liaise with your colleague in Distribution every day and because we work locally, you'll be speaking to the same person and be able to use your local knowledge to get the order delivered safely and efficiently!

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• A HGV Class 2/Class C licence
• Good communication skills
• Mixer experience

You’ll be working locally and be the face of our business. You’ll be working Monday to Friday with core working hours of 7.00 to 16.30, although occasionally we may need you to finish a bit later and you will be Rota‑d to cover occasional Saturday morning's.

Pay rate of £17.00 per hour (includinc holiday pay) with time and a half for Saturdays (as an when required).
