Job summary

Breedon Group plc, a leading UK construction materials business, is seeking a Driver for our Chesterfield Concrete Plant. This full-time permanent role supports our 1st Mix operation with local deliveries from the site, Monday to Friday, 7.00 to 16.30, with occasional Saturday mornings.

You will hold a HGV Class 2/Class C licence and have good communication skills to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with our distribution team and customers.

Qualifications

• Licence required: HGV Class 2/Class C.
• Must be able to deliver locally and safely.
• Excellent communication to support customer service.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Distribution to ensure orders are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Be the face of the 1st Mix division, delivering professional service and building customer relationships.

Description

We are currently looking for aDriver to support our 1st Mix business at our Ready Mix site in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

This role is being offered on a full time and permanent basisto support us during our busy season. This role will report into the Business Manager

Key Responsibilities

Working for the largest independent construction materials business in the UK and Ireland, within our 1st Mix division you’ll never be treated like just a number. You’ll liaise with your colleague in Distribution every day and because we work locally, you’ll be speaking to the same person and be able to use your local knowledge to get the order delivered safely and efficiently!

Our customers love the fact that our drivers understand the product they are delivering and will lend a hand if needed. You’ll be an ideal fit for this position if you enjoy building relationships and have a great sense of humour.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• A HGV Class 2/Class C licence
• Good communication skills

As a Driver in our 1st Mix division, you’ll be working locally and be the face of our 1st Mix business. You’ll be working Monday to Friday with core working hours of 7.00 to 16.30, although occasionally we may need you to finish a bit later and you will be rota’d to cover occasional Saturday morning’s.
