Job summary

Driver Hire Ipswich is seeking a Class 2 HGV Tanker Driver in Ipswich. The role starts ASAP and offers a salary of £41,600 per year with a temporary-to-permanent contract.

You will drive a Class 2 tanker, collect liquid waste, and work across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge and Essex. Possess a full UK manual licence (Cat C), a CPC, and a digital tachocard. Training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Licence with Cat C Entitlement.
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachocard.
• Previous tanker experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 tanker vehicle.
• Collect liquid waste including septic tanks and soakaway issues.
• Work across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge & Essex.
• Work on own initiative and comfortably use handheld technology.
• No ADR training required.

Pay rate: £41,600 per annum

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for Class 2 HGV Tanker Driver to start ASAP for our client based in Ipswich, with all the support from our experienced Driver Hire team.

The successful Class 2 HGV Tanker Driver will receive:

• £41,600 salary.
• Guaranteed 10hrs per day.
• 28 days holiday prorated on PAYE.
• Upskilling to HGV, ADR and HIAB after satisfactory probation period.

What to expect as a Class 2 HGV Tanker Driver:

• Working Monday to Friday on 7am starts you'll be driving a Class 2 tanker vehicle.
• You'll be collecting liquid waste dealing with septic tanks and soakaway issues.
• Working areas are Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge & Essex.
• Must be able to work on own initiative and be comfortable using hand held technology.
• No ADR training is required.
• Previous waste tanker experience preferred but not necessary. Training will be given where required.

As a Class 2 HGV Tanker Driver you must:

• Full UK Manual Licence with Cat C Entitlement
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachocard
• Previous tanker experience preferred.
• Have no more than 6 effective penalty points.
• No DG, DD or IN endorsements.

This position is commutable from Caple St Mary, Hadleigh, Felixstowe, Woodbridge, Stowmarket and other areas nearby to Ipswich.
