Job summary

Driver Hire Bury St Edmunds & Ipswich is seeking a Class 2 HGV Tanker Driver to start ASAP for a client based in Bury St Edmunds. The role offers a basic rate of £14.50 with overtime to £17 and a potential £32,000 basic with overtime.

You will typically work Monday to Friday, 7am starts, and drive a tanker around the East of England and Essex to welfare sites. Benefits include an end-of-year performance bonus, 28 days holiday (pro-rata), guaranteed 8.5 hours per day, and upskilling to HGV, ADR

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Licence with Category C entitlement.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph.
• No more than 6 penalty points (effective).
• No DG, DD or IN endorsements.
• Newly qualified drivers welcome.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 tanker vehicle around the East of England and Essex to Welfare sites.
• Operate in a professional, safe manner and comply with all traffic and ADR regulations.
• Report daily through standard company processes and pre/post trip checks.

We are looking for Class 2 HGV Tanker Driver to start ASAP for our client based in Bury St Edmunds, with all the support from our experienced Driver Hire team.

The successful Class 2 HGV Tanker Driver will receive:

While working for Driver Hire:

£14.50 basic | £17 overtime

When Permanent with the client

£32,000 basic | overtime x1.5

End of Year performance bonus.

Guaranteed 8.5hrs per day.

28 days holiday prorated on PAYE.

Upskilling to HGV, ADR and HIAB after satisfactory probation period.

What to expect as a Class 2 HGV Tanker Driver:

Working Monday to Friday on 7am starts, you will be driving a Class 2 tanker vehicle driving around the East of England and Essex to Welfare sites emptying the units.

As a Class 2 HGV Tanker Driver you must:

Full UK Manual Licence with Cetegory C Entitlement

Valid CPC & Digital Tachocard.

Have no more than 6 effective penalty points.

No DG, DD or IN endorsements.
