Job summary

Qube Recruitment in Southampton is seeking experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers for an ongoing, full-time role delivering alcohol and other drinks to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries. You will work in a Driver + Driver's Mate pair, with handball and manual handling required, and typical 89‑hour shifts.

You will perform daily vehicle checks and provide friendly, professional customer service. The position offers local deliveries, ongoing work, and a thorough induction process to ensure safe

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph.
• Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience preferred.
• Comfortable with handball and manual handling.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.

Responsibilities

• Delivering alcohol and drinks products to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries.
• Working as part of a Driver + Driver's Mate team.

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to join a busy and well-established drinks distribution operation based in Southampton.

The role involves delivering alcohol and other drinks products to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries across the surrounding area.

?? The Role

• Delivering alcohol and drinks products to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries
• Working as part of a Driver + Driver's Mate team
• Deliveries are completed using a handball method, involving regular manual handling
• Typically 89 hour shifts
• Job & Finish once your deliveries are completed, your working day is finished
• Working closely with your Driver's Mate to ensure deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
• Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and safe

?? Training & Induction

All successful drivers will complete:

• Classroom-based induction
• Driving assessment
• Full familiarisation with the delivery process and requirements
• Support and guidance before going out on deliveries independently

? Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
