Job summary

Qube Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver for a Southampton-based drinks distribution operation. You will deliver alcohol and drinks to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries, working with a Driver's Mate in a handball-heavy environment.

Ongoing, full-time role with typically 89 hour shifts. You’ll complete daily vehicle checks, maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety, and provide a professional customer service experience while adhering to CPC and tachograph

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph.
• Prior HGV Class 2 driving experience preferred.
• Comfortable with handball and manual handling.
• Good customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Able to work in Driver + Driver's Mate team.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.

Responsibilities

• Delivering alcohol and drinks products to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries.
• Working as part of a Driver + Driver's Mate team.
• Deliveries completed using a handball method with regular manual handling.
• Typically 89 hour shifts.
• Job & Finish once deliveries are completed; working day ends.
• Work closely with Driver's Mate to ensure deliveries are safe and efficient.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and keep the vehicle clean and safe.

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to join a busy and well-established drinks distribution operation based in Southampton.

The role involves delivering alcohol and other drinks products to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries across the surrounding area.

?? The Role

• Delivering alcohol and drinks products to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries
• Working as part of a Driver + Driver's Mate team
• Deliveries are completed using a handball method, involving regular manual handling
• Typically 89 hour shifts
• Job & Finish once your deliveries are completed, your working day is finished
• Working closely with your Driver's Mate to ensure deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
• Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and safe

?? Training & Induction

All successful drivers will complete:

• Classroom-based induction
• Driving assessment
• Full familiarisation with the delivery process and requirements
• Support and guidance before going out on deliveries independently

? Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
