Job summary

Qube Recruitment are recruiting experienced Class 2 HGV drivers to join a busy drinks distribution operation based in Wetherby. You will deliver alcohol and other drinks to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries, working with a Driver's Mate.

Shifts are typically 89 hours and finish when deliveries are complete, with full induction, driving assessment and ongoing work with a well-established team. A valid Class 2 licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph are required, plus good customer service

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph.
• Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience preferred.
• Comfortable with handball and manual handling.
• Good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver alcohol and drinks to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries.
• Work as part of a Driver + Driver's Mate team.
• Perform handball-driven deliveries; manual handling required.
• Carry out vehicle checks and keep vehicle clean and safe.
• Provide professional and friendly service to customers.

Role: Class 2 HGV Driver
Shift Length: Typically 89 hours | Job & Finish

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to join a busy and well-established drinks distribution operation based in Wetherby.

The role involves delivering alcohol and other drinks products to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries across the surrounding area.

The Role

• Delivering alcohol and drinks products to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries
• Working as part of a Driver + Driver's Mate team
• Deliveries are completed using a handball method, so the role involves regular manual handling
• Typically 89 hour shifts
• Job & Finish once your deliveries are completed, your working day is finished
• Working closely with your Driver's Mate to ensure deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
• Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and safe

Training & Induction

All successful drivers will complete:

• Classroom-based induction
• Driving assessment
• Full familiarisation with the delivery process and requirements
• Support from experienced team members before going out on deliveries independently

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience preferred
• Comfortable with handball and manual handling
• Good customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Able to work effectively as part of a Driver + Driver's Mate team
• Good knowledge of UK roads
