Job summary

Driver Hire Southampton is seeking a motivated Class 2 driver for a 12-week temp-to-perm assignment delivering carpets and flooring to residential and business sites along the South Coast. Shift starts at 6:00am with up to 15 deliveries per shift.

The role includes operating a pump truck and handballing, with full CPC and Digi Tacho required. Training provided by the client; permanent placement after 12 weeks may be offered.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 2 licence with CPC and Digi Tacho card.
• Newly qualified drivers welcome.
• Physically fit for heavy lifting.
• Excellent timekeeping and communication.
• Own transport to commute to and from work.
• Tail lift and pump truck experience beneficial.
• Outstanding customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver carpets and flooring to residential and commercial sites on the South Coast.
• Complete up to 15 deliveries per shift.
• Operate pump truck and handball products.
• Attend 6:00am start times.
• Training provided by the client.

Job description

We have had an unmissable opportunity arise with one of our new clients who is looking for a keen and motivated Class 2 driver to come onboard with them. For this role you will be delivering carpets and flooring materials to residential and business areas around the South Coast.

About this role:

• 12-week temp to perm position
• Monday to Friday
• Up to 15 deliveries per shift
• 6:00am start time till finish
• Completing deliveries of carpets and other flooring materials
• Deliveries around the South Coast
• Operating electric pump truck to offload stock, as well as handballing products off the truck
• Training provided by the client

Requirements from Class 2 drivers for this position:

• Full UK Class 2 licence with valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
• Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply
• Physically fit and happy with heavy lifting due to the nature of the job
• Fantastic time keeping and communication skills
• Own transport to commute to and from work
• Tail lift and pump truck experience is beneficial
• Outstanding customer service skills
