Job summary

We Are Workforce Ltd is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our Southampton operations. You will operate a rigid vehicle with tail lift to deliver chilled goods to retail outlets, wholesalers and convenience stores across Southampton, Andover and Bournemouth.

Start times are between 02:00 and 05:00, five days out of seven on a rolling rota. You will load, secure and transport goods, perform daily safety checks, and maintain strong customer service at delivery points while adhering to safety and

• Digital Tachograph Card required.

Class 2 Driver

Location: Southampton

Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 days, based on a rolling rota.

Pay Rates

• £20.00–£22.41 per hour, depending on shift.
• Overtime paid at an enhanced hourly rate.

About the Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will:

• Operate a rigid vehicle equipped with a tail lift to deliverchilled goodsfrom our Southampton depot to a range of retail outlets, wholesalers and convenience stores across the Southampton, Andover and Bournemouth.
• Provide a high level of customer service at delivery points, ensuring delivery requirements are met and expectations are managed effectively.
• Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate early start times, safely operate tail-lift equipment and carry out manual handling of deliveries in line with safe working practices.
• Ensure all goods are loaded, secured and transported correctly using appropriate load restraint equipment.
• Complete comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using a company-issued mobile device, maintaining vehicle safety and compliance.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team, providing timely updates throughout the working day.
• Participate in regular training sessions to remain up to date with industry standards, compliance requirements and best practice.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Current Driver CPC Card.
• Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident, courteous and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good geographical knowledge and route awareness.
• Physically fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
