Job summary

Driver Hire Southampton is seeking reliable Class 2 HGV drivers to support a prestigious client in the Southampton area. You will operate a Class 2 refuse vehicle on weekday routes, with starts around 5:00–6:00am and 7.5-hour shifts, performing manual loading as required.

Benefits include a £250 sign-up bonus after 10 shifts, weekly pay, and potential for permanent placement after 12 weeks; no weekend work and on-site parking are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving license and Class 2 licence required.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Willing to perform manual handling duties.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 (Category C) refuse vehicle safely and professionally.
• Carry out loading of waste bags into the vehicle as part of the crew.
• Deliver a reliable, efficient refuse collection service on designated routes.
• Work with the crew to maintain smooth operations and safety.

Looking for a stable Monday to Friday driving role with early finishes? Driver Hire Southampton is recruiting reliable and hardworkingClass 2 HGV Driversto support a prestigious new client in the Southampton area.

As a Class 2 HGV Driver, you’ll play a key role in helping keep the local community clean by collecting household waste along designated routes as part of a friendly and supportive team.

The Role:

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between5:00am and 6:00am
• 7.5-hour shifts with early finishes
• Drive a Class 2 (Category C) refuse vehicle safely and professionally
• Carry out manual duties, including loading waste bags into the vehicle
• Deliver a reliable, efficient service while working alongside the crew

What we’re looking for you:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply
• Good level of physical fitness and willingness to carry out manual work
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Own transport to travel to and from the depot
