Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a well-established business in the Chesterfield area. Shifts run Monday to Friday with start times at 06:00 or 07:00.

The role involves driving Class 2 vehicles for deliveries, performing vehicle checks, loading/unloading as needed, and completing paperwork while complying with tachograph rules and road transport regulations. Weekly pay and an immediate start are available.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience
• Preference for max 3 penalty points
• Manual driving experience
• Good geographical knowledge
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Strong understanding of road safety and H&S

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 (Category C) vehicles for deliveries and collections
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Load and unload when required
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
• Adhere to driver hours, tachograph and road transport regulations

HGV Class 2 Driver (Category C)

Chesterfield | £17.11 per hour | £25.66 overtime

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a well-established business based in the Chesterfield area.

Shifts will be between Monday – Friday, starting at either 06:00am or 07:00am.

The Role:

• Driving Class 2 (Category C) vehicles for scheduled deliveries and collections
• Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Loading and unloading where required
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
• Following driver hours, tachograph and road transport regulations

The Candidate:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience
• Maximum 3 penalty points preferred
• Manual driving experience
• Good geographical knowledge
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Strong understanding of road safety and H&S

The Benefits:

• £17.11 per hour
• £25.66 per hour overtime after 36 hours
