Job summary

Quattro Resourcing Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for Papworth Everard, Cambridgeshire. The role offers early start times (4:00am–5:00am) and finishes in the early afternoon, across a 5-day rota with every other Saturday.

This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity with a nationwide client. You will drive 7.5t/3.5t when required and must hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and Tachograph Card.

What's on Offer?

The role offers £16.50-£17.00 per hour, full-time hours across a 5-day working week and a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity. You will benefit from early morning starts with early afternoon finishes, regular and reliable work with an established and reputable client, and the opportunity to secure long-term employment.

Working Pattern

The role operates on a 5-day-per-week rota. The standard working week is Monday to Friday, with every other Saturday required. When working a Saturday, you will have one weekday off instead. There is no Sunday working.

Start times are between 4:00am and 5:00am, with early afternoon finishes.

Please note: Candidates must be available and willing to work every other Saturday.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and timely delivery of goods to customers and locations across the region.

Your duties will include completing deliveries safely and efficiently, ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition, carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues, ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time, maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork, providing a professional and friendly service to customers, and complying with all relevant transport, driving and health and safety regulations.

Additional Requirements

The successful candidate must hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.

Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience is required. Candidates must also be willing and able to drive 7.5-tonne and 3.5-tonne vehicles when required, with these shifts paid at the HGV Class 2 rate.

You will need a good understanding of UK road safety and driving regulations, along with a reliable, punctual and professional approach to work. Candidates must also be available to work every other Saturday.
