Job summary

Driver Hire Stockport is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to work in Macclesfield. This ongoing role runs Monday to Friday with 5:30am starts and typically 3–5 drops daily. Full training will be provided by the client.

The position offers regular ongoing work in a trusted transport recruitment group, with potential for flexible hours including part-time options. PAYE pay and holiday entitlement apply.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• HGV Class 2 (Category C) or Class 1 (C+E) licence acceptable.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• 6 months HGV driving experience preferred.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Driver Hire Stockport are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to work for our client based in Macclesfield. This is an ongoing role, working Monday to Friday 5.30am starts. - Please note that role involves 3-5 drops per day, and full training will be provided by the client.

Duties of our HGV Driver includes:

• Driving the HGV safely and responsibly while complying with all road traffic laws.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance with all company procedures.
• Maintaining regular communication with the branch manager regarding your daily progress.
• Completing all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

To be considered, you'll need:

• A full UK driving licence.
• A valid HGV Category C (Class 2) or Category C+E (Class 1) licence.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.No DD, DR, IN or TT endorsements.
• 6 months' relevant HGV driving experience (preferred).
• The ability to work to tight deadlines.

Pay Rates:

Paid weekly via PAYE.

• £16.81 per hour - Minimum 8 hours.
• £22.06 per hour - After 8 hours.

These rates include holiday pay. If you prefer to accrue holiday separately, then the rates become:

• £15.00 per hour - Minimum 8 hours.
• £19.68 per hour - After 8 hours.
