Job summary

Mackenzie Fit Limited is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team in the UK. You will safely transport goods on various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and upholding high safety and customer service standards.

The role supports novice and experienced drivers with a focus on Skip and RORO driving. Overtime and Saturday shifts are available, with a starting rate of £16.28 per hour and overtime at £21.80 per hour.

Qualifications

• Novice drivers are welcome.
• Driving Licence Cat C is required.
• Digital Tacho Card is required.
• CPC Card is required.
• Strong driving skills with no more than 6 points on record.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations for commercial vehicles.
• Good level of physical fitness.
• Experience in handling loads is desirable but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate LGV in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely collection and drop-off of goods.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs as required by law.
• Communicate with dispatch teams regarding schedules and delays.
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary.
• Maintain professional appearance and behaviour with clients and colleagues.

We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. Hours of work:

Monday to Friday 6am to 3pm plus overtime after 40 hours of work. Extra shifts on Saturdays available. Plenty of overtime is available.

Starting rate:

Starting rate is £16.28, OT rate (after 40 hours) is £21.80 per hour.

Duties:

• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered on routes.
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
• Uphold a professional appearance and behaviour when interacting with clients and colleagues.

• Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial vehicle operation
• Good level of physical fitness
• Experience in handling loads and securing cargo safely is highly desirable but not essential as training on the job will be provided
